I know we have not blogged many weddings lately but we wanted to showcase some of the other things we have been doing!  Meet Darlene she is due in about a month and she commissioned us for some conceptual maternity photos that capture the "feeling" of her pregnancy.  we drove out west of Houston to capture this.  Loved the feel of this image.

I came home yesterday to find my daughter Tass and my wife asleep on the couch (I have no idea where Makani was) ... no sooner did my first shutter click then my daughter opened her eyes and looked right up at me. They fill my life with so much joy!

We had the joy of photographing Patricia and John's destination wedding in Cancun this summer.   The wedding was at the Marriott Casa Magna and was attended by about 50 of their closest friends and family. Patricia and John are both divers who have spent time diving in the Cenote's in the Yucatan.  So aside from the normal three day of events we photographed, we decided to do an underwater shoot with them in one of the Cenotes.  Enter in my Aquatica D3 underwater housing.  Yes... I bought it for shoots just like this, even though I had not done one before. Next Step Scuba gear! I swear we must have lost ten pounds swimming around trying to make things work. Fortunately for me Patricia is an established underwater photographer and had tons of tips for me in the process.

I recently had the opportunity recently to photograph Rebecca and her two beautiful sons Hunter and Vincent.  We wanted some very nice posed images without the stuffy feel of "standard portraits."  This was the mini "get to know the photographer session".  Rebecca has commissioned us to photograph her kids over the next year in a variety of settings. The goal: to capture the true essence of her children and their relationship with her.  This is a time in their life that you never get back and she wants to make sure the feeling of it is captured in pictures.
